I want to send a Huge Thank you to Dr. Curatolo. My 3yro son Ajay fell & fractured his elbow as a first time mom I was devastated and My anxiety was through the roof because many of my experiences with Doctors consisted of Terrible bedside manners , condescending tones, and rushed information. As a mother of color we worry if our children will be treated with the same care as they would treat the children who look like them and Not only Did Dr. Curatolo walk in smiling, shaking my hand, and reassuring me my Son would be ok. He explained what he was preparing to do, he came to see my family & I after it was over and to top That He put Ajay’s hard cast on. This man is for the people. And he’s in the right Profession. Kudos to you Doc
I walked into the ER at Riverview with my son after a serious bicycle repair accident where nearly 80% of the tip of his left index finger was severed by a rotor. As any parent can imagine, it was an incredibly stressful moment for our family. From the beginning, Alex, the PA, handled everything with professionalism and clarity. He explained the situation thoroughly and recognized right away that this required a pediatric orthopedic specialist. He quickly brought in Dr. Evan Curatolo, and that decision made all the difference. Dr. Curatolo was exceptional in every sense. He entered the room calm, composed, and fully present, and the energy immediately shifted. He had a plan. He knew exactly what needed to be done, he explained it clearly, and then he executed it with confidence and precision. There was no hesitation, no confusion, just steady, focused care that gave us instant trust in his hands. He took the time to carefully analyze the injury, walking us through the X-rays and explaining the condition of the bone in a way that was detailed but easy to understand. He discussed the nail bed involvement, the tissue damage, and what realistic recovery would look like. Every step of the process was explained, not rushed, not brushed off, just honest, thorough communication. What stood out most was how he connected with my son. Even while suturing his finger, he had him laughing, turning what could have been a traumatic experience into something manageable and even positive. That level of bedside manner is rare. He was calm, patient, caring, and genuinely warm, the type of person who makes you feel like family instead of just another case in a busy ER. Before we left, he clearly outlined the recovery process, what care would look like at home, and what to watch for moving forward. We walked out feeling informed, supported, and confident in the path ahead. In a world where truly good, genuine people can feel harder and harder to find, Dr. Curatolo stands out as one of the good ones. His skill, compassion, and leadership left a lasting impression on our family. I trust him with my children without hesitation, and I’m deeply grateful for the care he provided during a very difficult moment.
Dr Curatolo took the time and patience in the middle of the evening to care for our Granddaughter and took his time in explaining and caring to explain all to our children. We are greatly appreciative
My daughter was seen by him at JFK PEDIATRIC ER and all I can at phenomenal doctor well spoken, very understanding and warm with my child whom was in so much pain after her tibia being broken. He casted her and made her very comfortable. Will be visiting him for a follow up.
Dr Evan Curatolo was such a blessing when my son broke his forearm. It’s already difficult as it is finding an orthopedic and it was more challenging with our insurance. Thankfully he was in network. We were given an appointment right away. I was very nervous because the first Orthopedic that saw my son immediately said he would need surgery, this made my son and myself feel very nervous. At our first visit with Dr Curatolo we were presently surprised to hear him say that surgery would be a last resort as he was still young, he was so patient kind and explained everything so well. My son is very scared of doctors but Dr Evan was always so empathetic and sweet, making this difficult experience so much better. He made us feel very comfortable. The staff is so friendly too. I would recommend him to everyone. Dr Curatolo makes a true difference. Forever thankful for him
Dr.Evan is one of Best doctor that we came across. He was extremely patient and we had all our answers before and after our child's surgery. He makes the child at ease while going through the whole process. Will highly recommend him.
We absolutely love Dr. Stankovits! My son is a repeat offender lol, but this time it was more serious with an elbow dislocation. He was just as kind and extremely patient with our son. He put us at ease and we know he is in the best of care!
My son had a basketball injury, fractured his right forearm. Saw Dr. Curatolo in the ER where he put a cast on his arm, and explained everything to us about the recovery process. His office staff is great. We had a good experience and would highly recommend him.
Dr. Stankovits is AMAZING!! He treated my 6-year-old daughter back in October 2020 when she fell and fractured her elbow. From the moment he spoke to me at Riverview Medical Center and performed surgery to the follow-up care afterward, he was simply TOP NOTCH!! The office staff at his Edison office was professional and caring on each visit. Thank you for going above and beyond for my daughter. We really appreciated the level of care and compassion!
I came in a few weeks ago with my teenage daughter who had a fractured foot. We had a really wonderful experience. We were so impressed with how the staff treated us. Everyone was so friendly, courteous and professional. The doctor was so caring and knowledgeable. A special shout out to Jeremy who was unbelievably nice and really made our visit extra pleasant. We thank you all for making our experience so positive.
